Before all of the wedding planning and the exciting fun of the big day, there’s a proposal. The moment a couple decides that they want to spend the rest of their lives together is a special experience that they’ll remember for a lifetime. But for some lucky ladies, the proposal itself is truly unforgettable.
Here are some of the most elaborate and extensive proposals in the history of those four little words: “Will You Marry Me?”
Crossword Puzzle Proposal
This future groom had to be pretty sure she’d be able to fill in the answers in a recent crossword puzzle that ran in the Washington Post. Included in the puzzle was her first and last name and, of course, that magic question. Once the puzzle was complete, her she wrote out the answer he’d been looking for: “Y-E-S.”
Live Lip-Dub Proposal
For the grooms-to-be out there who have theatrical talents, putting together a little show before popping the question seems spot-on. One actor from Portland, Oregon recently proved that theory by involving 60 members of the couple’s friends and family to mouth along to “Marry You” by Bruno Mars. Complete with choreography and costumes, this was one persuasive performance, and the answer was, of course, a resounding yes.
Groupon Offer Proposal
Many young men and women have developed a propensity to check Groupon frequently for all of the latest deals and offers. For one woman, her Groupon search became a written proposal when she found “A Surprise for a Dana from a Greg.” With fine print asserting that one or both of them may develop a snoring problem, we can’t say she wasn’t warned. However, she purchased that $1 offer and got the deal of a lifetime.
