You could probably hit more bullseyes playing darts with spaghetti than the number of weddings that have resulted from ABC’s long-running series The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. Although they already tied the knot on December 1st in Pasadena, California, this weekend, America will be able to witness only the second wedding to ever result from the show(s).
Ashley Hebert chose J.P. Rosenbaum, and during ABC special titled show The Bachelorette: Ashley and JP’s Wedding, the two will make it official. Hebert was famously rejected by Brad Womack on Season 15 of The Bachelor, and then sent away Ben Flajnik on the finale of her season of The Bachelorette. Following along? The way ABC has expertly plucked the previous reject and made them the new star requires a diagram of sorts to figure out who’s kissed who.
One thing’s for sure: J.P. and Ashley have certainly defied the odds. Most of the couples are broken up before the shows even make their way to the air. The show airs tomorrow night, Sunday, December 16 at 9:00 p.m. on ABC. The guest included a laundry list of former contestants from the various shows, including Emily Maynard, Jillian Harris, and Trista and Ryan Sutter, the first and only other couple to marry after having met on the show.
